Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is an action/fantasy film which is the second to last installment to the series. This one was directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Rupert Grint as Ron, and Emma Watson as Hermione.
The story follows Harry and his two best pals as they all are now of legal wizard age and decide that there are more dire things than returning to Hogwarts. People are dying left and right and Harry is Voldemort’s number one enemy. After realizing how many people are being hurt and killed in his name Harry makes the choice to leave everyone behind to go find and destroy the rest of Voldemort’s horcruxes. Not a second behind him are Ron and Hermione as always ready to fight. Finding these mysterious objects proves to be most difficult but with the three of their brilliant wizard brains they are bound to find a way.
This movie was AWESOME! I have never been a huge Harry Potter fan even though I read the books in junior high but this one really hit hard. It’s been amazing to watch the progression between films as Harry grows older and becomes more and more powerful. At the same time he is becoming more and more troubled and you really get a feel for that in this film. We don’t get to see everyone all happy and cheerful stuffing their faces in the great hall or playing quidditch like before. People are dying the whole time in this one and there is not much smiling to be seen. This is by far the most action packed Potter film of them all and there is still a part two! I was almost literally at the edge of my seat when Harry and The Order leave his childhood home for good only to be swarmed upon by what looked like hundreds of death eaters. Streaks of magic were flying every direction and there goes Hagrid’s giant self in the middle of it all saving Harry on his enchanted motorcycle equipped with a handy side car. There really wasn’t much to complain about in this movie aside from the fact that everything is so dark and weary. I have always thought the three of them were great actors and do a great job at embodying the characters that J.K. Rowling created for this fantastic series. Five stars in my book!

  1. It's very obvious that you really like this movie. I absolutely agree with you that it's great and the three are amazing actors. They're really on their own in this one and they showed how they felt really well.
